Introduction to Nepal

7 nights and 8 days

Welcome to Nepal, a nation of historic kingdoms, small cities, and unbelievably varied landscape.

You begin your journey in the capital city of Kathmandu, a rich  fusion of medieval and modern Nepal with  its diverse mix of religion and culture. Our tours will take you to all three of the valley’s ancient Kingdoms– Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, with their rich Newari artistic and cultural heritage.  Explore both the well and little known wonders of the valley.

From the valley, travel to the Royal Chitwan National Park, a wildlife preserve located on very different geographical terrain in the south of the country. It is the home of numerous endangered species, including the one-horned rhino and the Royal Bengal tiger. Enjoy the flora and fauna on one of the more comfortable and very popular elephant rides. The more adventurous may chose to raft on their way there.

For thos e who wish to see more of the mountains, there is the sleepy, lakeside city of Pokhara, which lies at the base of the glorious Annapurna - a mountain range covering some of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world. There are short treks to the hills around Sarangkot or Ghandruk, or longer ones within the region, be it the isolated, ancient kingdom of Mustang, or the unique, hidden Tilicho lake. Take your pick for the ultimate Himalayan experience.
